Lo! - Monstrorum Historia
Concept and artwork for Lo!’s 2nd album, Monstrorum Historia. Inspiration came from the original Ulisse Aldrovandi Monstrorum Historia book (history of monsters), which featured an array of illustrated fantasy creatures, whose bodies had a combination of animal and / or human features. I wanted to use this same concept but turn it into a more realistic photographic looking visual. The overall aesthetic was also inspired by T.G. Hamilton’s faked ectoplasm photos.
